These are some easy and awesome decorations I made for my son's reptile party simply from using twisted brown craft paper for the vines and green and black construction paper for the leaves. The basement pole was wrapped in brown construction paper and topped with large green construction paper palm tree leaves. The wall tree was made out of green and brown construction paper and used for a game. A great way to add a jungle feel to your party room without breaking the bank.

Call of Duty Army Military Party

Another party I had for my son when Call of Duty Black Ops was released It turned out great. All of my games stuck with the military theme. This party was really simple to decorate. The chair covers, camouflage spots and curtains were all made out of dollar store plastic table cloth. The box was made from a shoe box or craft box at Michael's, glued on brown craft paper aged with some ink or black paint, black torn construction paper and twine. The glasses were taped with electrical tape and twine. The rest of the decorations were props I had laying around the house from paintball supplies and Halloween. I designed this set for my mother's 60th Birthday Party this August. I wanted a blend of vintage and retro with some bold color. The photos used are of her throughout her childhood. The custom set was carried throughout from the water bottle labels to wine bottles to food tags. The linens were white with napkins in chocolate brown and grey and the gardens were adorned with large homemade tissue flowers. To add to the party, I played a video I had made of my mother growing up and a custom photo book I had created with her family and friends' letters and thoughts scanned into it with several photos of my mother. This was a great additional to the party for everyone to view. My guests were very impressed and overwhelmed with the attention to detail. I wanted something for my son to keep his Graduation memories in (his diploma, photos, etc.). I came up with something simple and creative. Perfect for what I wanted it for. I bought a wine box fro my local dollar store, wrapped it with 2 different black and white patterned drawer liner (sticky paper), tied the top with a large black ribbon and adorned it with some graduation stickers I found there. The entire project took me 5 minutes and cost me about $5.00 to make.

Pearl wanted the standard USA passport theme with modern swirls for elegance. She chose a 10 page passport to be able to add her large entourage, since they are as importanat as the wedding itself. She had no need for the rsvp card, so she used it instead in post card style for a rehearsal reminder for her bridal party. The look was definitely passport looking, but also a formal wedding invitation design.

Communion Decorations

My daughter recently celebrated her First Communion. We had a small celebration at home with her grandparents and godparents. My intention was to make it like being at a restaurant, but cozier by being at home. We had the food catered in, so all I had to do was decorate. I thought I would share my ideas with you all. They were so simple, quick and low cost, but still managed to look really pretty for her. I stuck with a white, silver and pink theme throughout. I used white placemats with silver charger plates and white dishes. I found some adhesive faux diamonds at my local dollar store, so I stuck one one each charger plate near the top, one on each napkin, made diamond crosses on the wine glasses and after tying the cutlery with pink ribbon, attached small diamonds on each bow. It looked really elegant. The favor boxes were simply filled with strawberry-topped cupcakes. A really nice way to jazz up something so simple. Everything purchased was from the dollar store-the white adhesive bows, the sticky diamonds, the pink ribbon and napkins, the plastic silver trays in the center of the table, and everything used for the favor boxes (pop-up favor boxes, silver candy wraps, strands of pearls, large sticky faux diamonds and the white was the parchment paper wrapping the cupcake). The pink lilies topped it all off and smelled great! Total cost, including the flowers: $41, since the charger plates were $20. The last photo is the cake my sister made for her. She has had no cake training whatsover. Amazing!

My sister just celebrated her 32nd Birthday this weekend and I bought her a gift certificate from the mall. Instead of the typical bought off the card rack card, I wanted to make her something different. I thought the boarding pass was the best choice. I used it as a shopping pass to the mall instead of a boarding pass for a plane. I added the mall hours and who it was from on the side and slipped it into a white cardstock jacket with a custom Happy Birthday band and black and white polka dot ribbon to hold it all together. Behind the card pass was her gift certificate to the mall. It turned out great! She loved it!
